Overview of the Indonesia Customs Declaration
The e-CD was a digital Indonesian customs form that travelers needed to complete before entering the country. The new Arrival Card form collects the same essential customs information, including:
- Passenger identity
- Flight and travel details
- Items being brought into the country
- Declarations of restricted or dutiable goods
Indonesian authorities use this information to manage customs inspections, reduce wait times, and ensure safety. Once completed, you’ll receive a QR code that customs officers will scan on arrival.
Who Needs an Indonesia Customs Form?
Every traveler entering Indonesia by air must complete an Arrival Card. This includes:
- Foreign tourists and business visitors
- Indonesian citizens returning home
- Children and infants
One form must be submitted per person, regardless of age or relation. Families cannot submit a single shared form. Each passenger must show their own QR code at customs.
Even if you have no items to declare, you are still required to submit the Arrival Card.
Where in Indonesia Do I Need an Arrival Card?
The Arrival Card customs form is required at all international airports in Indonesia, including Bali.
Customs officers will request to scan your QR code at the arrival terminal before you collect your luggage or exit the airport.
